The bill (Reg.
No.7004)
presupposes adoption after the child reaches a two-month age. To
support adaptation of
the adopted
child, the parents who adopted a newly-born
child or
a child under three years
are entitled
to a one-off paid leave from the
day of the adoption for the period
of 56 days (70 days in case
of adoption of two or
more children).
The Committee members declared that the legislative proposal supports adaptation of the adopted child in a new family and protects the adopter´s rights.
